Out of curiosity, did you find a schematic for the Screaming Blues somewhere? Or just bust one open and trace it out?

Along with the regular output on the pedal, Digitech also throws in a Mixer Output with cab emulation. Sounds very close to Boss Bluse Driver; but not identical! Bass and Treble controls are a plus to BD-2 but dialing a BD-2 sound out of it is tricky; you should always start from the lowest and gradually add Bass and Treble to reach the sound you want. It is true about the two other Digitechs that I own; Hot head and Grunge. If you start with everything at max then you may lose your guitar's original sound characters.
High adjusts boost and cut of upper harmonics. Gain sets the maximum distortion amount when playing your hardest. Dual Outputs.

He let me run it through my rig at the time original '66 Twin and it did give some good deep drive with that amp. I liked the pedal.

Very convenient! The pedal is extremely easy to use, the settings are clever and effective. I have the first three models of the list. Their distortion intensity, dynamic response and sound transparency are very different. This Screamin Blues is the easiest to set, it'll give you a killer blues sound within two seconds.

The EQ is very effective without overtly altering the sound character of the SB. While I totally agree that they are very similar, and that the BD2 is a great pedal all on its own, the Keeley is a big improvement to my ears. Not sure I can put my finger on what exactly it is - more realistic sound, slightly less nasally midrange, but I'd recommend the Keeley version over the stock BD2. With the more flexible tone section, the Screamin' Blues gets into other territories. It will get a little fatter sounds, and for the most part does a digitech screamin blues vs boss blues just as adding bass without getting muddy. Is it the best sound Blues Drive pedal?
